Volkswagen (VW) Defects - Should Volkswagen Be Proud of This Car?

German engineered perhaps but don't mistake "engineering" with "manufacturing".

This VW and ALL Beetles and Jettas made in at least the last approximately 30 years were made in Mexico.

This Page Shows the Broken Trunk Latch. The Trunk does not stay latched closed.

This is very dangerous and Pete Moore Imports refuses to repair it.

The plastic parts have simply broken away.

Should this ever happen to a car of this age with this mileage or of any age or mileage?

This poses a real danger and hazzard to the people in the car.

The people at Pete Moore Imports adjusted the latch when we told them we were having

trouble closing the trunk and after that it would not close at all.

They refused to do anything about it.

There was a piece of Plastic on the Left Side of the Latch Mechanism which has of course Broken
